Report on the 1999 RMMLA Convention

The 53rd annual convention of the RMMLA was held on October 14-16, 1999 at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel in Santa Fe, NM. Over 450 members presented and/or heard papers at a variety of regular and special topic sessions, and enjoyed the beauty of the Santa Fe region during the 'off hours'. We want to thank Susana Hernández Araico for a compelling keynote speech, Michael Pavel for an informative session on outreach to Native American youth, and all who helped made this convention a success.
