Report on the 2004 RMMLA Convention

The 58th annual RMMLA convention was held at the Millenium Harvest House Hotel in Boulder, CO from September 30 - October 2, 2004. Our local host was the University of Colorado, Boulder. The Local Arrangements Chairs were Jeffrey Cox and Christopher Braider of the Center for Humanities and the Arts. The Local Arrangements Committee also included Beth Robertson (English), Rima Salys (German and Slavic), Valerio Ferme (French and Italian), and Artemi Romanov (German and Slavic). We had a wonderful convention in Boulder and thank all who participated.

The Call for Papers for every RMMLA convention is available online and is mailed to members (along with the winter issue of the Rocky Mountain Review) in mid-November. Special Topic Sessions, especially those highlighting western U.S. and Canada and the Rocky Mountain region, should be submitted to the Secretariat for Board consideration by March 1.

For all Regular, Special and Affiliate Sessions listed in the CFP, proposals based on a 300-word abstract are due to the session chair no later than March 1. Chairs have been asked to notify all those who submitted proposals of their acceptance or rejection by March 15.
