Missoula Valley

The 2003 RMMLA convention was held at the lovely Holiday Inn Parkside in downtown Missoula, from October 9-11. Marshall Brown, Professor of English and Comparative Literature at the University of Wahington was our keynote speaker and also hosted a session topic session on "Negative Poetics." We had a full program of exciting regular and special topic sessions, as well as other professional activities and events of interest to our membership. We were glad to see so many members in Missoula. Our thanks to the University of Montana for their moral and financial support. Special thanks also go to Liz Ametsbichler of the University of Montana, our Local Arrangements Chair, and to Laurie Heustis of Washington State University, our convention director.
