Bita Zakeri (English Department, Southern Illinois University)

  • Roy K. Weshinskey Graduate Teaching Assistant of the Year (2007) from the Writing Studies Program in conjunction with the Association of English Graduate Instructors and Students (AEGIS) of the English Department at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

Albrecht Classen (University of Arizona, Department of German Studies)

  • "2008 Henry & Phyllis Koffler Prize for outstanding accomplishments in Research/Scholarship/Creative Activity"
  • "2007 Outstanding Scholarly Achievement Award, Southeastern Medieval Association"
  • "2007 Excellence in International Education Award"
  • "2006 AATG Outstanding German Educator Award and Checkpoint Charlie Foundation Scholarship (College-University Level) for outstanding achievement in furthering the teaching of German in schools of the United States"
  • "2004 University Distinguished Professor"

Michael Delahoyde (Washington State University, Department of English)

  • "Matthew R. Weaver Distinguished Professor Award, 2003"
     

Domnita Dumitrescu (California State University-Los Angeles, Modern Languages)

  • "2000 Teacher of the Year Award" for the college/university level, from the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. A plaque and a check for $500 were presented at the Annual Meeting of the AATSP in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
     

Joseph S. Eng (Eastern Washington University, Department of English)

  • "2002 Century-Tel University Faculty Achievement Award," College of Arts and Letters at Eastern Washington University.
     

Evelyn Gajowski (University of Nevada-Las Vegas, Department of English)

  • "February 2002 Professor of the Month Award," UNLV Panhellenic Council
  • "1999 Outstanding Faculty Member," Dept. of English, Mitzi Hughes Scholarship Recognition Luncheon, UNLV Alumni Assn.
  • Nominee, Dept. of English, "1999 Rita Deanin Abbey Teacher of the Year Award," UNLV
  • "1998 Outstanding Faculty Member," Dept. of English, Mitzi Hughes Scholarship Recognition Luncheon, UNLV Alumni Assn.
     

Ilona Klein (Brigham Young Univeristy, Department of French and Italian)

  • "Karl G. Maeser General Education Professorship (2006-2009)" in recognition of outstanding accomplishments.
  • "Alcuin Fellowship" University Faculty Award, Fall 2002-2005.
    These awards recognize outstanding teacher-scholars whose work at the university transcends the limits of their disciplines and who have made significant contributions to the general educatiom and honors curriculum.

Kristine Miller (Utah State University, Department of English)
  • "2002 Teacher of the Year" for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences at Utah State University
Lucy Morrison (Bellavance Honors Program, Salisbury University, MD)

  • Outstanding Research Mentor, 2007
  • Salisbury University Faculty Appreciation Award, November 2007

Patrice J. Proulx (University of Nebraska at Omaha, Department of Foreign Languages and Literature)

  • "2002 Alumni Outstanding Teaching Award" from UNO (University of Nebraska at Omaha, a highly competitive award given annually and based on input from peers, as well as past and present students.
Michael Wutz (Department of English, Weber State University)
  • "2002 Master Teacher Award" from Weber State University, the top award in teaching presented at the university.
Jose Suarez (University of Northern Colorado, Department of Hispanic Studies)
  • 2010 A.M. and Jo Winchester Distinguished Scholar by the Faculty Research and Publications Board. The annual award recognizes a scholar who has demonstrated continued excellence in scholarly activity for at least five years at UNC.
